True to Richloom’s ongoing commitment to keeping abreast of current trends, our hospitality division is proud to announce a new creative partnership with Kelly Hoppen MBE.
Kelly Hoppen MBE is a globally renowned designer, author, teacher and entrepreneur whose multiple design awards are topped by the highest accolade possible… an MBE (Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) for services to interior design. Kelly’s style is underpinned by a subtly coordinated fusion of East meets West; clean lines and neutral tones, blended
with charming warmth and sumptuous opulence. She puts her stamp on the homes, yachts and jets of private clients as well as international commercial projects for hotels, restaurants, aircraft and office buildings.
According to Kelly, one’s home is at the core of one’s well being. In her designs, you will find soothing tranquility that creates the perfect backdrop for that one jolt of color. “I absolutely believe,” she says, “that people should wake up in neutrals and go to sleep in neutrals.” Texture…she combines them all into what can only be called a sensual experience…abounds; cashmere, leather, cotton, wood and wool in the same color scheme all combine to create a uniquely organic, graceful and restful ambiance.
While it is hard to put a label on Kelly Hoppen fabric design, there are definitely certain descriptors that immediately come to mind. Symmetry, timeless elegance, eclectic designs, muted tones…all overlaid with a quiet luxury and a subtle fusion of East and West. While far from traditional, her often vintage-inspired patterns can serve to enhance antique curves as well as more contemporary clean lines.
Richloom’s alliance with Kelly Hoppen will enrich the diversity of our contract fabric portfolio as it brings a new and exciting dimension to the hospitality industry.
